Thumbs up Drasticaly reduced PCs, Laptops and Monitors

    Hi Guys

"Staples" are having a clear out of PCs, Laptops and Monitors which are either new and older stock, or repaired customer returns, many of these just needed reformating and are perfect. Some of this stock is a real bargain, for example, new, boxed Sony 19" "black screen" TFT, now £199, reduced from over £400. Also, many laptops from a few hundred quid and PCs from around £150. There are also some real bargain CTR monitors - HP 17" at under £40! new and boxed.

There are only 10 stores in the country who will be clearing the entire company stock of this stuff, so you will need to be quick to get it. The stock is in these stores now, but will be advertised localy from around the end of next week.

Birkenhead and Leeds are the stores with the stock from the North West, I'm not sure about the others, but if you contact a Staples near you, they will tell you which one in the area is holding the event.

I run the Birkenhead store, and believe me when I say these will sell within days without being offered to the good folks on YD, I'm just giving you advanced notice which could save you several hundred pounds.

    Wish I was on commision.

    Talking

Hope some of you managed to grab a bargain, a couple of example were:

£1100 Median laptop with everything I can think of on it, cosmetic damage - £170

    £599 27" TFT TV and monitor - £199

Several ex demo/customer returmed laptops of fairly low spec but all under 12 months old and with a warranty - from £150

    Brand new 17" HP CRT monitors - £40, ex display - £20

    Sony 19", black x TFT screens - £199

Plus a load of other stuff.

Next on the hit list is Hard drives and a few bits and pieces, e.g 300Gb - new and on offer - £99, some of the older stock will be half priced or less, you could be looking at getting a western digital HD 80Gb - brand new - for £20.

    Merry xmas

Cheers for that, my Mrs is starting a course in January, and she needs some old pc's that she can strip down to component parts and rebuild them,
we have some pc's, but we need a monitor to make sure the things work, I was looking for a old second hand one,

but if a new one is only £40 I might as well buy her a new one instead.

Although I wish I'd seen the deals on Laptops a few weeks ago, when I bought her a £700- one for christmas
