PSP, Wirelss connection on dial up?

I've just finished blowing my xmas bonus by purchasing a PSP, the first games console I've bought for about 6 years.

To say things have improved is an under statement.

However, to get to the point of this thread, it can browse the internet. This would be handy, but I only access the internet through dial up and don't really use it enough to warrant broadband, so the question is if I get a wireless network in the house will it be possible to use the PSP for accessing the internet if I don't want to use the PC? I did mention this to a mate who said that the wasn't sure if you could share access when only on dial up???

Its beyond my understanding, so has anyone tried it? Is it worth accessing the internet through the PSP?

So here looking forward to V-planner releasing a PSP compliant version (I wish!)

Thanks,

Craig

well, I wouldn't have thought you could but I searched and found this link which suggests it is, albeit not easily.

It'd be slow, though.

Can you get broadband? Are you in a cabled region, for example, as they are doing a lot of deals to get you broadband, TV and phone for £30 a month.

Virgin broadband do an ADSL monthly subscription (i.e. no lock in to a 12 month contract) so you could try it for a month to see if it's worth it?

As an aside, how would you do thinks like post drivel on a forum from a PSP? Does it have a keyboard socket?

I have a PSP and a wireless connection, I used the browser once to see what it was like and it was pants, the interface is way too slow to make this anything more than a gimmick. I wouldn't worry about it and just enjoy the games and film capabilities.

It has a digital representation of a multitap keypad which is OK for short messages but I wouldn't fancy trying to do YD on it!

Thanks for the link, green is on the way.

The better sites are those designed with mobile devices in mind, like the BBCs mobile site etc.
General navigation is easy but it's still a pain to type in URLs.
