V planner on the move
Hi all,

I need some advice please on the best [cheapest ] way to be able to use v-planner "in the field" so to speak, I have the unlocked version and wondered if it would it work on a PDA or similar device, if so which one would you recommend on the understanding though that I am an IT luddite who still types with one finger

Any advice gratefully recieved.

Laptop. The PDA version is different and can't be used without registering, £35 I think. You can run the PC version on several computers under your original licence as I recall from looking at the site. So if you don't have a laptop then a PDA for about £120 and a licence will be cheaper.

I use a PDA and run a terminal services session to my own server, which has the full version of v planner on it

That being said, if i cant get a connection, i use ross's port to the pda flavour of vplanner, which, IMHO , is superb.

Sounds like a great idea Mal, if not that, can you tell me what I need to do to convert a PC downstairs to act like a server so I can do the same!!

Son, you're going to have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming aircrew. You can't do both.

The aircraft limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular aircraft. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no limits.
