The MetaFrame server farm reported an unspecified error.

I was planning to do some work on a clients application remotely this weekend. I conect to them using Citrix NFUSE. I successfully connected last night. However, at about 9pm I tried again and got the following error.
The MetaFrame server farm reported an unspecified error.
They are supported by a third party provider, who do not support them 24/7, so I am stuck until Monday. Unless anybody has any answers, I can get somebody on site to assist if required.

we refer to those helpful bodies as "button monkeys"

the phrase was coined during a discussion of the hassle involved when out of hours tech support staff have to travel to site and all they end up doing is switching some hardware on and off.

original idea was a robotic arm to press the on/off button, but swiftly progressed to a trained monkey.

We now have 3 new members of staff, who initially had nicknames

BM1
BM2
BM3

(BM meaning button monkey, obviously, but we didn't explain that in case they got a bit offended)

unfortunately, these ungrateful beggars insist on going home at the end of the day, and are not happy with the tyre swing in the computer room, so we still have the original problem....

Means you can remotely power on and off a server. Of course, you'd want to secure the connection to this box, and for a small consultation fee (like the price of a VR3 C4 spectrum), I'm sure I can provide you with some good security advice

nah, Box Monkeys are much more useful, especially when you get deliveries of 200 PCs and monitors....

and we're talking NHS here, so we won't be doing expensive consultancy thank you very much, no, we leave that to Connecting for Health and the National Programme for IT....
