| What I meant was I'm at the back end of a physics PhD. If I have anything to run that could be affected by the system crashing its generally a long run of a program, in which case I run it on one of the Suns within the group. However for 99% of what I'm doing I run within a piece of software called matlab, which whilst it will run on a mac it runs far better (from speaking to people who have tried) on a PC, and the research group has a licence for it for PCs, something they don't have for those running macs. But thats going far too far down a techie line for me... |
