| Yaz A URL (or domain) can be used for a number of things: 1. e-mail (predominant use) 2. Website Now, a URL AKA "Domain" is comprised of two parts: the domain name and the TLD (Top Level Domain) such as .co.uk or .com. I won't bore you with more on that though. I have a number of customers who simply want their own domain for e-mail purposes e.g. yaz@mydomain.com or yaz@mydomain.co.uk Now, this is fine, cheap and a great way of having a personalised e-mail account. But, once you have the domain, you can also have a website but you then need to buy hosting for that website (most providers would give you a domain name with e-mail and hosting included) and then of-course you have to design that website. Too much information Yaz...?
