If you are going to use wireless then you should secure it a bit but that's pretty easy also.

I shall be using it hard wired to my PC, but my son and my laptop both will use wireless, so will leave it on, but will set up security (as I did on the Linksys router) and limit access to specific MAD IDs - though your offer of help may come in use!
