I bu55ered the Internet... help needed...

Help required for Mr Technophobe.

I've broken the Internet and I'm really sorry....

Well, actually I've broken my end of it. All the web sites I now enter look as though they were composed by a child (well, actually thats not true; they look as though they have been composed by me.... as kids are good at these things).

Okay, enough rambling here's the gist.

I had this problem before on IE about 8 months ago, but got around it by downloading Firefox which has worked fine. I have ignored IE since.

It worked fine this morning but when I upgraded Firefox and went back in, I end up with all web sites having a white background (inc YD) rather than the glorious technicolour I knew and love. To imagine how it looks, Hotmail is very white as opposed to blue and YD default looks like the PDA version. Drop down menus also look horrible and see-through. Although I can still use the Internet, it all looks pretty nasty.

Any ideas, folks????

So far, I have:

uninstalled and then reninstalled it
tweaked with settings in display options etc
swore at it and pleaded with it
started Firefox in safemode
even done a system restore
runs virus scans

all without success.....

Any ideas guys? I just want it back as it was <sulk, flounce, bottom lip aquiver>

Thanks

Snash

If it's firefox check the following:-

View --> Page Style

Make sure "no page style" is not selected. If it is change it to the othjer option.
