| To cut down on spam most ISPs use a closed mail relay. This means that you can only send email via their SMTP server if you are directly connected to their network. Are you using broadband via Orange and dialing in to Orange when roaming? Are you using a different ISP when dialing up? Let me know and I can assist a bit more

| You normally need to configure the SMTP to be the same as the ISP through who are connecting to the Internet with, if that makes sense. Most ISPs provide info on how to configure their mail clients so just copy them down, amend them in OE before you write the email, and then click send. Should work now.

The aircraft limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular aircraft. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no limits. |

| Hi I have just had the same problem I put smtp.wanadoo.co.uk into the smtp box and now it works fine. I use wanadoo as my ISP but use my own email domain. Best of luck James

| Some will simply not let you send email through their servers if you're not on their network... in which case you need a new one (which probably means paying for it). Some will allow you, but require a password to connect to it. Usually the default configuration is for SMTP to connect directly, without authentication. If you try setting it to an authenticated connection (its an option in the mail server settings for Outlook somewhere) using the same details as the POP mailbox, that *might* work. Otherwise, like I said, it probably involves paying for it. I use 1&1 (1and1.co.uk) who do email packages for something like 59p/month I think, with obviously full access to SMTP wherever you are, they can use your existing domain name or setup a new one for free (one included in the price), 1GB space, and i've never had any reliability or performance problems with them. But might as well try your password in your SMTP first. David |

There are a few ways around it but the easiest is to use a different ISP and hence SMTP server for sending mail and setting your reply address to your Orange account.
