| Dur - even easier suggestion. First off, go to PC World and buy yourself a fairly chunky IDE HDD. 300Gb or more will probably do fine. Then go to your local Tesco's - my local Tesco Extra have Philips external 250Gb USB2 Hard Drives at £130 at the moment. When you get it home, open the screws at the back and slide the tray out. I have one here on my desk I've done to make sure it's IDE and it sure is. Replace the 250Gb disk you get inside with the knackered one, and copy the data back on as above. Then return the 250Gb disk back into the caddy and back up! Mark.
