TomTom uses Teleatlas data for their mapping.

Although the actual maps are updated quarterley TomTom don't buy them that oftern - only when a new software version is coming out, this is usually around May every year.

The version TT buys can be anything from 10 - 18 months out of date by the time the user receives the maps.
