The new Microsoft version will be out soon, priced te break into the ipod market, called zumes or something like. Might be here by Chrimble

yeah, but I'll bet it takes 5 minutes to boot up, constantly crashes, and runs like crap until you chuck loads of memory at it!

(and no I'm not an Apple/Linux geek)

Had similar concerns when I started using a Windows Smartphone. Thye have proved largely unfounded, other than the boot time which is long, but rarely need to re-boot it. Very happy with it and would consider an MS music player, if my phone with 2GB card didn't already do the job Single device is the way forward...
