Online database for menu planning
Okay, sounds like a bit of a strange one, but I am sure someone can help me.

I am organising the evening do at Stoney for the DIRx gig and there are currently 62 people signed up for the meal. What I want to do is create a webpage with very simple database behind that people can go to and then input their menu choices, plus have a free text field for each course for those with special dietary requirements.

I forsee this being something as simple as a set of radio buttons but I need to be able to see who has ordered what at the end of the day, so that I don't have that great headache during the meal with 3 spare meals and 2 people not having what they ordered!

If anyone can help me, I can send you the list of people and what the menu options are, plus my webspace logins to host it on.

Son, you're going to have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming aircrew. You can't do both.

The aircraft limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular aircraft. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no limits.

Yes. Three public polls (so you can see who has ordered what) for starters, mains, and puddings. Perhaps another poll for No requirements for Veggie / Vegan / Nut / Coeliac, and people can PM you if they don't fit into a category.

Yes, but there are 62 people coming at the moment and at the end I would have to add the columns up!

I am using Excel at the moment and PM's. Got to be a way to harness the technology!

I'm lazy, I want people to fill in their own choices! Three mouse clicks is quicker than sending me a PM and then me having to transfer it paper by pencil and then photocopy it and send if off to the Mill

Surely there should be a standard meal choice where everyone eats the same thing? What happens if there's an out of meal emergency? Someone might be donated a completely unsuitable meal.

Seriously, probably take longer to set it up than to do it by hand.
