Live Local Search

When you've sorted your route or just your location, drop it into "aerial" mode

If you're lucky there will also be a "birds eye view" option - I guess these areas are limited to major cities etc

When my son recently went off for an interview - did an enquiry, dropped it down to the road and in aerial view you could see the building(s)!!!

Yes agreed its quite old already, missing at least 6 new estates around me, they have drawn the roads in on the old fields.

Nice if your area has not changed much lately though.

Live local is microsofts answer to google maps, which is the internet version of google earth. For those who have never used Google Earth, type it into Google, download the software and play (XP only). It's gradually getting better, I could tell I was out when the satellite passed my house. If you look at Manhatten, you can see people walking down the street.

Its getting good for looking for possible shore dive locations.

There is an ariel view on Google Earth of The Hague, there is a topless sunbather in the garden, here's the co-ords, 52.078711N 4.332777E

Cool site

As Okeanos says. It is using the same imagery. I looked at my house, outskirts of Manchester, and I would say the photos are at least 6 years old.

Regards
Nick
