| Are the cable-less keyboards (use Bluetooth to transfer signals?) worth while or just a pain in the batteries?

Interestingly Vista is supposedly designed to look and feel like MAC OS and industry analysts are predicting that this is likely to backfire on Microsoft as it makes the transition from XP to MAC OS easier. They reckon a lot of people will be ditching their PCs in favour of MACs instead of buying new PCs to run Vista. |

| If its for home use I'd be tempted at a secondhand machine. If you go about one spec under the current they are nearly given way. My mate's just picked up a laptop (Win XP Pro OEM) for 50 quid. All the super-fast stuff is mainly for games and video. This machine (Dell Optiplex Win2000) does everything I need.... Chris

| When I was using wireless Keyboard and Mouse at home (on works PC, without disrupting my home PC) I used about a battery a month in the Mouse. The keyboard still ahs the original battery... Andrew |

| Same thing here, never changed the KB battery in 2 years, mouse batteries didn't last long at all. So I got one of these: Cordless Mice > Logitech® Cordless Click!™ Plus Rechargeable Optical Mouse A bit pricey at first, but the comfort factor was worth the money alone. Cordless - definitely a good idea IMO.
