| DVD coping, help needed! Let me explain, I travel quite a lot and in addition to this I have a home in the UK and one in Egypt. I like to watch DVDs and when I'm in the UK half of my collection is in Egypt and vice versa. Yesterday I bought a External hard drive and the idea is to put all of my films and music on, then I can just take it together with my laptop and I have it all with me wherever I am. Please reply via PM

| I think it was obscured by a typo in the subject - did you mean "DVD Copying" ? Just copy the directories on the DVD onto a directory on the hard drive. You'll need a separate directory for each DVD and they could occupy up to 4.7 Gbbyte each. Cheers, Chris

| If you want to store on your hard drive ideally you need to rip the dvd first to a format that can sufficiently compress the files and a format your viewer will play. Best to rip to Divx.... |

| Hi Music is easy, and can simply be done with Media Player or itunes. To copy movies then you need what is called a DVD ripper software (search in google) . I have used Alcohol 120 and Imtoo which are both pretty good (Imtoo converts the movie for a PSP or mobile phone Andy |
