Reducing Pic Size

Since getting my new Camera (7.2 mega pixels), I.m having trouble sending pics (long attach times).
I only store my pics in folders on XP, don't really want to use any new software, is there an easy way to reduce pic size of all pics in a folder?
Cheers
James

Hi James,

I did a quick google for you and found this tiny piece of software

Free Image Converter reviews and free downloads

Not sure how good it is but it seems to do exacvtly what you want.

Irfanview will do it (and do it well, and easily, and for free) on a batch/folder basis. Nice touch is that you could either reduce to eg a percentage, or set separate width and height (for example to match a display resolution). Good luck! Just make sure you put the reduced size copies in eg a sub-folder of the original, so's you don't overwrite the originals!!

Nope..... but you can reduce the size of your pics on must cameras when you take them.
An easy way of doing it is to use "Photo2pocketPC"
Photos2Resize former Photo2PocketPC on PocketGear.com

Pics mostly of Capenwray

Just a couple of Leslie and chris on side, fully kitted. Didn't take camera in on first dive due to my important role in Project gnome garden. I wanted to get some pike pics on second dive boho. Haven't looked into sending pics on here yet. is it easy? first time i've used a forum, so just finding everything out is a task. Spent ages trying to shrink a pic for my forum pic last night, couldn't get it below memory size?

There is a free integrated image reduction tool by Microsoft for Windows XP.
It is a doddle to use. Just right click on a pic & select the size you want.
