problems downloading pdf files
cannot seem to download pdf files from a website on this forum, the PC has acrobat reader but when i click on the link just get a blank white screen??? not the best with PCs, took a week to log on to YD

any ideas ?

I would guess you need to update your Acrobat Reader. Go tot he Adobe site and download the most recent upgrade for free. That might solve it.

Some PDF files are quite big and will take a little while to download - whilst this is happening, you might well get just a blank white screen - this happens with our laptop.

The hard drive will be caching the data and this will also cause a delay in displaying the document.

Hi

thank you for responding to my request, I found that my wife's PC had Ver:5 of Adode reader and I downloaded Ver:8 and that sorted it (Thanks Lou) so now fingers crossed i should be able to download stuff easyer, Thank you both
