Question Buying a new PC

OK, so old PC about to go t!t$ up - fan on graphics card just fell off, hard disk creaking, sound card now totally gone...

Spec'd a new PC (will be used for games plus Internet plus Office stuff)
- AMD x2 5200
- SLi motherboard
- 2Gb 800Mhz DDR-2
- NVidia 8800GTX (768Mb)
- 320Gb / 16Mb SATA2 drive

The questions...
1. Best place to buy?
2. Can you suggest a good (but not rediculously expensive) screen - ideally 1600res with sub 5ms refresh

Crikey,

Getting a new PC as well as a breather.

Must be a good bonus.

For that sort of spec I'd look at Mesh or for a bit more wonka Demonite. Or build it yourself.

Samsung do a couple of very good 20.1" LCDs that come in at around the 300 quid mark - like this one: Komplett.co.uk - Samsung 20" LCD Syncmaster 204B TCO03 Silver, 1600x1200,5ms,VGA/DVI,800:1

HTH

I use Computer Supplies from Novatech for my bits and pieces. They sell components or full systems.
