| Not sure about connecting Digibox to monitor. However, most LCD TV's will have a monitor connection so you could connect your PC to the TV That's how I do it |

| Why not get a tv card and use the pc as a digi box? Or use a website such as Watch online news, entertainment, music and sports TV-channels for free.

| Hi guys, The only reason that I don't want to run it through the PC is that the PC (being made from ex-server parts) is very noisy and the room is very small so the noise appears amplifies, which is ok for doing the odd bit of PC work, but not really for sitting watching the Bill for an hour

| yes you can, we had something like that, a external tv tuner that connected directly to the LCD. cant remember the brand or what its called. comes with a remote, that you can use like a regular tv then you press a button on the remote to switch between PC screen and TV. |

| Amazon.co.uk: Hama SCART To VGA cable: Electronics & Photo this is what you need, any digi box then will play to your screen But a better way would be to buy a small flatscreen TV that has a VGA in then you can use the TV as a Computer monitor and visa virsa, I picked one up for about £170 this one is a nice one Amazon.co.uk: Samsung LW17M24CPX - 17" LCD TV - With Remote Control: Electronics & Photo

| Cheers guys, The main decider for me is financial. I have a screen (£30 ex-work) and don't want to spend an extra £170 on a telly. If I can convert it to a telly for £50 or less then it'll happen I've just discovered it has a DVi in connection which makes it a lot easier

| I got carried away. I found a vga digi box for £70 then I found a dvd player/dolby surround/digi box with VGA out for £75 and surround speakers for £20......so I now I'll have DVD, Freeview and Surround sound .....I really shouldn't be allowed near the internet with a credit card. It all arrives today so fingers crossed......
