Question Camcorder Advice
I'm looking at buying my first camcorder and have got myself well confused. Can anyone offer any advice on a good model, which could suit my criteria::
  • ~£500
  • Films in Widescreen
  • Connects to PC (home media centre)
  • HDD (not dvd) I think???
  • ~7hr record time
  • Good battery life
  • 5.1 mic would be nice

I say HDD format as I have seen a few JVC and Sony versions and like them. I have a large HDD on my media centre and DVD burner so I can burn discs when I get home after any editing.

Can anyone offer any advice on a good reliable unit.

UW housing options would be a plus but it’s not essential at this point.

every time i go round to eddy's house i get really jealous, then i spend hours looking for bigger and better stuff than him and end up in tears after i check out how much cash i've actually got to spend.

I'd suggest getting it with an underwater housing, i'm still in the process of getting round to it for my old camera (4 years and counting)
