If they have two - this is a splitter which filters out to high frequency broadband signal form the voice data. The ADSL router needs to be plugged in to the unfiltered socket on the splitter - probably labelled ADSL, and the phone/Sky box into the other.

If there is only one socket on the filter (i.e. it's a simple filter not a splitter), you only need to plug the phone/sky box into this - not the ADSL router.

Yep, perfect sense and what I thought (I have the 2 socket filters and the cable supplied only fits in the ADSL bit so I can't have made a mistake.

The confusing bit is that when I logged onto the SWM Forum I have no problems and UK Divers is worse than YD and I can't do anything because as soon as I log in I am asked immediately for my login details again.

I'm off to find who the Forum Software Company are and to log ontp their web site to see if they have any advice.

Just a thought, are you ticking the 'remember me' box...I couldnt log in unless I did this..............

Yes. Unless there is something in the advanced internet options or somewhere else (I have tried with McAfee switched off and still got the same problems) I have everything set to 'remember' and 'easy to contact' ............ I was hoping with BB and a new PC I would do most of my YD'ing at home and actually do a days work now and then.
