Angry MP3/4 Players - Hacked Memory Chips

OK, this is just a warning to anyone thinking of buying a high capacity (usually 4GB+) MP3/4 player from eBay - don't!
I purchased one a few weeks back, and true to their word it arrived a week later - lovely little 4GB player with colour screen, speaker, headphones etc. I soon started having problems with it creating multiple copies of all the songs, and then eventually converting all tracks to 0kbps bitrate! I had a bit of a hunt about and posted on a MP3 player forum, and was told the symptoms were normal for a hacked player. After following the instructions, I now have a 1GB player, not the 4GB it was sold as, but it does have an excellent battery life - something my previous one didn't. I'll stick with it for the time being (unless my claim for a refund means I have to send it back), but just wanted to let others know of what to be aware of. If anyone wants instructions on how to check, let me know by PM and I'll send you a link.
I hope this stops someone else getting conned!
Regards
Martin
