Security Tab (2nd in)
trusted sites
click Sites and add Yorkshire Divers untick the little box required server verification at the bottom so you dont have to use the https:/

that should sort it out for you

normal home with an adsl router modem that had no problems with my other laptop

Have managed to log in via Firefox .many thanks Graham .But whats the difference ? I was still using IE6 .

Firefox doesnt use any of the windows settings so you have a problem with the settings on IE6 change it to IE7 and see if that works
