New laptop log in problem for yd

I have a new sony laptop & on trying to log in to yd on it I get the following :

"In order to accept POST request originating from this domain, the admin must add this domain to the whitelist. "

Now I realise I have to do something but what & how ?

C&P that error message into Google and there are lots of 'hits' for that exact message - the one I briefly looked at involved vBulletin.

Appreciated Bryan, but now I'm even more confused ! Somebody is going to have to tal;k me through this step by step .I also get the same message trying to log in to RBW so yes I suspect it Vbullitin

you will have some form of firewall installed a white list is the sites that you say are safe and you will accept emails / notifications from

go into the firewall control panel and you will find the white list add the site to there

If you can turn the firewall off and login to YD then you'll know. I wouldn't ercommend any web surfing until it's back on again!

Nope turned firewall off (its only the windows xp one ) but still get the same message .

whitelist opposite of black list :-)

now you might have a hostfile whitelisting this for you, sorry for geekspeek

What Security software do you have on the Laptop? Often, the "Security Suite" type products include a firewall as well as anti-virus software.

So if you have McAfee, Norton etc. check that their Firewalls (if installed) and add the sites to their whitelists.

no security suites I only got the laptop yesterday & haven't put any antivirus etc on

I'd suggest getting some AV before doing any more surfing, then. (And make sure you update and do a full scan before even reconnecting to the internet...)
