| If a tv is HD ready does that mean it will recieve digital tv ? ie will it recieve freeview without the need for an extra box ?

| Only the most expensive ones can display 1080p. These are now being marketed as full 1080 HD. Most HD Ready sets are 720. We have a Sony 'W' series which is the full1080 and the quality is amazing - it interpolates from the standard picture so that the line structure is invisible. The picture is almost indistinguishable from SKY HD transmissions. |
