Free Registry Cleaner needed
My laptop is giving me a bit of jip, anyone know of a free registry cleaner, not the kind that cleans 50 errors and then demands payment though

Hi
Not 100% sure this is what you are looking for but I've used Ad Aware for a couple of years now Lavasoft its free as are the updates, it removes Spyware but also cleans the registry. Hope this may be of some use

Hijackthis is a useful tool for sniffing out rogue startup processes and Browser Helper Objects.

It's not fully automated and needs to be used with caution and reference to online resources to check out anything that isn't clear, but I've found it very helpful in getting rid of nasties, and also generally keeping on top of stuff that wants to run in the system tray and hog resources.
