Nokia PC suite will work on Nokia phones but probably not on the LG phone you are using. Nokia's use a slightly proprietary format which has caught me out in the past when copying between outlook and Nokia phones and then into non-Nokia phones. Assuming you are using Outlook, the LG can sync with Outlook via Bluetooth and as far as I know it is shipped with all the drivers etc that it needs (but I don't have one so I'm just going by what I've read). If you're using a Mac then you just use iSync and enable bluetooth on the handset.

Yeah, most modern phones will sync with Outlook - I started using that a while ago, and makes it sooooo much easier when you get a new phone. Check the software / manual that came with the phone to see how to do it for the LG. David

Making progress I have now loaded the LG PC Sync software. The software expects to connect to my PC using a serial cable and connect to COM1 on my PC. The phone comes with a USB cable, which works fine. I cannot see how the software can change the COM port, it has an option of one. Is there a way round this? COM1 is in use by other kit Don't really want to buy more cables.

In fact I had the correct cable and software, and have backed up my numbers into Outlook. Not sure what I did different this evening, but all loaded up fine. Anyway. If you happen to be the young man in LG UK TV support, and you read this - well done.
