Title should read USE.COM

Anybody come across these sneaky little B*****s?

Recently when I select a favourite or search for something I get redirected to this site. It appears to be a video streaming site, a bit like a poor mans YouTube!

It used to appear when I booted up my computer and always states that the website I am searching for isn't available which I found amusing at first as it had to be available as it is my ISP without which use.com couldn't get onto my screen (if I'm not being totally thick!!)

How do i get rid? I've deleted cookies and done the usual Norton virus checks etc without success!!

Anyone help please.

Thanks in advance!

Paul,
If you are using Internet Explorer try using Firefox or visa versa. I have 2 virus checkers at home as often Virus Scan misses things. You might want to use the Microsoft Malicious Removal Tool thingy, its on their website for free.

hi ya paul

have you tried a program called spybot s+d

or even ad-aware ! BOTH FREE TO DOWNLOAD

which will check your registry for anything that mite be dug in thats malicious !

other than that get your virus scanner up to date and do A FULL SYSTEM SCAN !

sounds like a browser hijacker ? as a first guess!

hope this helps best wishes leigh

certainly sounds like a browser hijack.

as others advise, try Adaware and Spybot S&D as your first option.
Anti-virus software doesn't usually look for and deal with browser hijacks.

download and install Adaware and/or Spybot
check for updates then run a full scan
tell it to fix what it finds (defaults are safe)
lots of stuff it finds is not to be concerned about since it'll flag up cookies as a privacy issue

if this still continues, then there's a tool called Hijackthis, which will scan your registry for startup and browser stuff like this, it can fix automatically and can also output to a log file for you to send to others to help you decipher what's causing the problem.
