Don't know if you saw the program last night , but they were playing with HD video editing and the Mac was running rings around the vista machine......

FWIW, brute processing power and big screens mean diddly for everday computing,,
As for discrete, wife friendly,computing ,,,,
Iv'e had an ASUS EEE for a week now and it does everything sweet on linux,,
The screen is only 7" and personally it's more pleasant to use than any of my previous lappy's or base systems..........

OK cool new program for mac users with an apple remote

It's an alarm for your mac you set it like you would a car alarm if anyone touches your mac ie move it tries to use the keyboard or mouse even if the disconnect the power it goes off. Takes a picture of the perp using your isight camera and emails it to an address of your choice cool eh. It'll be handy in some places i work where if you leave your laptop unsupervised for a minute or to you come back to a gayporn wallpaper image instead of that nice beach shot it had before you left

Remote Buddy

Can use the Apple remote to do lots and lots of things, supporting over 100 apps. Again, helping us all be lazy . Well worth the €19.99.
