Question .cam files - what will open them?
I have just found a whole load of old photos on a couple of discs. The files all have the extension .cam and i can't open them with any of the programs i have.

Some of them are from when Master Scubee was very little ( the folders are dated 1998) so it would be nice to be able to retireve them, if only to embarrass him at his wedding in about 15 years.... there is nothing like being prepared!

Has anyone got any ideas as to how I can open them?

Casio camera format?

This is the software that would have been provided. The website does mention your format. XnView

Oh no. that would be the software that i didn't get custody of then. Oh pooh.
if I download that Xnview, will i be able to open them or will i screw up my pc?

(or should I beg use of the software from the ex?)

Well the software looks free to download. You should be OK, but if you don't want to risk it, I'm willing do try it if you sent an example.

i have downloaded it, but it won't open any file. It says that the file is not a valid win32 application.
have I downloaded the wrong bit? i downloaded v1.91.6 standard, for xp, server 1. Here comes a removal and reinstall!!


EDIT: reinstalled... how cute master scubee was when he was 2! Cheers

I have the same version Scubee. The only difference is I have Windows 2000. I can open jpegs etc, so I have no idea what might be wrong.
