yes that is a bit out of date moving music around is easy its just a simple program to rip music off one onto another and moving files around itunes is easy, and the new ipod software will convert wma's and any file type that it wont play is pretty rare as i have not encountered a format it wont play yet...

But you still need itunes installed to move the music around?
So it converts other formats to one it can play? so what happens to the quality on things like .ogg of .flac?

I'm curious, 'cause if it's fixed those things I'd be tempted to get one as well.
