iPhone and vplanner or jdeco ??
Anyone on here got an iPhone yet ??

Had a play with one in the O2 shop and they are pretty groovy. I wondered if they might be able to run vplanner or jdeco or any other planning software ???

ash - just done a quick check on Vplanners site - and I would think 'No'. However I think it will only be a matter of time - as the iPhone is proving to be popular..

I have one & I love it. It's a very nice bit of kit, but right now there is no way to install software on it. This might change in the future with the release of the SDK, but right now forget it.

the vplanner site says this below and i wondered if it might work as the iphone is apparantly running OS X

Intel Mac's: You can now use a program called Paralells Desktop. This allows you to run all Windows programs (including V-Planner).

the best thing to do - with regard to VPlanner - to to contact RossH - on here who owns the thing and ask the direct question..

I was looking around and see loads for sale that have been unlocked for use with my existing o2 contract sim, and many also have an installer program added so that users can install anything they like.

just google something like 'iphone installer program' and loads of things come up

this is what i was thinking of if it would run vplanner

can you - or Ross - post up here then - as I think a few people might be interested..
I am looking for a new mobile - and not being able to run Vplanner (and other apps) on it stops me getting the iPhone.

Conversely people with an iPhone might look elsewhere if they can get another deco planning app to work.
