New mobile phone provider

Hi All

I need to upgrade my phone from the existing 02 contract I have, which finishes at the end of the month.

I have been swapping sim cards out of my work phone but got fed up with this so need a new handset.

Been looking at 3 as a provider as I can get a package of minutes plus Text and email for less than I pay at the moment.

What are 3 like as a provider?

Hi this is only my opinion
But i had 3 for an 18month contract for the same reason as they offer a lot for the money
BUT its not worth having a lot for your money if you can't use the phone, as i could never get out and sold my contract early

when i questioned 3 they said when you can't get a signal they use o2 signal but i had o2 previously and still do and have no problem with them

It may also be worth mentioning that when you get a phone from 3 you can't use any other sim as 3 are a diferent size.

I would not touch 3 with a 10ft barge pole, Vodafone have some good deals at the moment

I have two mates who wouldn't touch 3 again if they were paid...whilst another friend swears by them. The first two stated phone, connection, and customer service issues whilst the third says they've never had such a cheap contract.

You pay your money and take your choice....I chose to give them a miss!

I was told by a girl in phones for you that 3 piggy back o2 and vod if they struggle to get a signal.

interesting to know that the simms are smaller with 3 as well,

I have been on 3 for the last 3 years and have had no problems with them. There is one bit on my drive to work across open moorlands where I drop calls for about a mile but then regain a signal.
I was also informed that they share 02's aerial masts so by rights that should give a decent coverage and like i said I have had no problems. They are also very good when it coems to renewing your contract as you can negotiate 12 month contracts, top of the range phone, more texts and free minutes as they are desperate to keep people as most fone companies are.

T-mobile on their flext deals are pretty good

Dunno about Three, but O2 are the worst I have ever had, I can't get a signal in my office or house, whereas Orange and Voda are both fine.
