Sony Ericsson K800i/K810i versus K770i

I may actually bore myself to death with this post, but it's new mobile contract time and have narrowed down my choice of 'free' phone to the above models. The K800i/K810i seems to have the edge in terms of photography, but I'm a bit concerned that the joystick will die in no time. Any thoughts on these phones?

I have got the 800i now and had the 750i before, the joy stix on the 750i went after 10 months or so but on the 800i it has been fine.

the 800i is a very good phone i would have no problem getting the upgrade to the 850i. but the 850i has a different set up and is part touch screen.

I have an ancient ancestor of the K800, the T630. Must be at least four years old, probably more! But the joystick still works fine...

I've got a K800 and it's brilliant. I'd recommend it totally.

The screen is bright, clear and easy to use and the camera is superb.

If you do get one, there's two things I'd recommend. First is a clear plastic case (about a fiver from mobilefun.co.uk) 'cos the camera activates easily in pockets and forget the awful PC Suite that comes on the CD. Download MyPhoneExplorer which is freeware. It's excellent.

Re Sony Phones

I work for a mobile company and Sony's as a whole are great phones to have battery life is excellent, some of the previous models that first had joysticks were a bit dodgy however sony seem to have ironed out the problem now and are a bit more robust. personally i would go for the K800/810i over the other but then i am biast as i have the k800i.

hope that helps

Ive had a K800 for a year and joystick etc is fine and i can normally destroy phones very rapidly.
I did break the one on my 750i.
