| DVD Player problem, the trays stuck Hi all, I'm having a little problem with my dvd video combo. basically the tray will not open - are there any diagnostics I can go through? Cheers all, Noel.

| Good morning, The motor makes a sound when I try to open it, the lazer moves on the rack, the tray just doesn't open...

| Without having a fiddle its difficult to say!! Can you pull the tray out whilst its trying to open?? It may have overun slightly and jammed.

| CD player still While on the subject of CD players mine in the car just spits out any CD I put in the slot. I even bought a CD cleaning thing to n avail. Anyone got ideas as to why or what to do? Please dont say shite taste in music as I have a very eclectic taste. |

| Does the DVD player tray have a small hole in the front of it? If so, get a paper clip, straighten most of it leaving yourself he final loop to hold it by. Then inset the clip into the little hole (which is just bigger than the diameter of he paper clip) till you feel resistance, then using gentle pressure, you can push the tray out by pushing the clip in. This is hole is put there for that purpose. Sometimes the gears can get jammed on something, sometimes that can misaligned and the motor is designed not to put too much pressure on it, thus it will stick closed if there is a problem.
