Oh, you are talking about the owner rather than the buyer, aren't you? TBH, I was desperate to find something to buy for Christmas + it has a 160Gb drive so can store far more of my music collection than she actually likes. This will leave plenty of space to add photos. Despite my earlier concerns iPods will play all types of formats (possibly convert all types of formats?). The next big thing will be the 'solid state' hard drives. They appear to be awesome given the IO speeds, sizes and amount of abuse they can take whilst working. I'm waiting until they come out before making my move.

Apple announced their new laptop last week, the Macbook Air, costing £1199 for the 1.6GHz 80Gb model, which doesn't have an inbuilt optical drive and only has 1 USB port.... or you could go for the 1.8GHz model with a 64Gb solid state drive for a mere £2,028...... mind you, they do look Shiny (tm) ![]()
