How many computers on a wireless modem

Hi,
Currently have a belkin wireless modem for my laptop, i am looking at a imac pc and a apple laptop for the good lady. Do i take it that as long as they have wifi my modem will let them both connect to the internet at same time etc and does this reduce connection speed etc having two computers running off it.
Cheers Lee

Most i've had is 4 computers running on wifi from my belkin router it was slightly slower but nothing major so you should be fine unless your downloading stuff on all of them at the same time but for just general browsing you shouldn't have any major probs

The more pc's you have on the network the more contention occurs, as mentioned, if you are downloading or uploading then you will have a slowness on the network, but apart from that you wont have any major issues, I have up to 6 machines in our office running of a 3mb line at times and theres no major issues.

Cheers

32 is the magic number

Most home systems will handle up to 255 cabled devices and 32 wireless. As stated though his will then divid your connection speed by the number of devices using the system.
