Garmin Gps
Anyone help here please? Our boat person has bought a programme for his Garmin GPS to use on the clubs rhib. He has been told though that once put into a Garmin machine it cannot be used on any other Garmin GPS without having a special code. He would like to use it on both his rhib and the club's rhib.

1. Is this true?
2. Does anyone have the code for it?

It is a Garmin GPS Map 238, Blue Charts

It is a Garmin GPS Map 238, Blue Charts

OK Blue charts has 2 methods of delivery. 1 is a pre-programmed memory card with charts. This CAN be swapped between units (at least our boat ones work that way).

The second is a blank card you download via a PC and use that. This cant be used as it requires a hardware key dependant on the GPS serial number to unlock.
