Existing customer. However, some O2 employees seem keen on negotiating, others don't care... You have to keep calling till you get one. Told my mate about this deal, he rang up as a new customer, said "..you gave my mate an N95 on online 35 for £20 a month, I want one..." and they gave him one straight off.

£20/month is the most I have ever paid. I have paid as little as £6/month for a £25/month contract...

However, when my contract came up for renewal, and i fancied a new phone, i was persuaded by the O2 shop person to take the Nokia N95. I have had it for 3 months, and it is the crappiest phone i have ever had. It switches itself off when it feels like it, it refuses to send texts for no apparent reason, and it freezes regularly. the only good thing about it is the fact that it has a fairly long standby time. This is often extended because it has turned itself off.

next time i am in reading, i think i will be returning it, but i have to figure out how to store all my phone numbers somewhere forst.

So.... my advice - go for O2 - they work for me, but get a different phone than the N95!

Upgrade to v20 Firmware - it's alot better.

Yep, about two weeks ago. That's all its taken for me to fall in love with my N95. I really did think about an iPhone, but O2 wouldn't budge on the price for one of them. I had had a play on both phones, decided that the N95 was a 'better devive' (IMO), but the iPhone is just toooo cool. It is inferior (i think) in all ways other than the screen to the N95, however, had they been anywhere near similar prices - would I still have the N95 - NO WAY! The iPhone has a strange appeal... Still, you're talking maybe £500+ difference over 18 months, suddenly its no contest (to me)...
