Windows taskbar help

My taskbar has moved from the bottom of my screen to the right hand side how do I return it to its normal position?

Left click on the toolbar and drag it back down to the bottom. Let go of the click! That simple!

Thumbs up

Move the mouse over the central blue bit, where no programs are showing. Click down the left mouse button (if your right handed) and hold the button down. Then move the mouse to the side of the screen you want, in this case south I presume. Let go of the mouse once the taskbar has moved to the bottom of the screen.

God I am dumb Thanks for the info I was sure I had tried to drag it back. Spent 40mins messing about trying to fix it.

If you're on XP you can lock the task bar by right clicking and checking the "lock taskbar" bit. That'll stop you inadvertantly dragging it in future!

Has XP got a "keep the 17month old little cherub away from the laptop setting" as my daughter has found out if you hit the keys things move on the screen. I fear for my Vaio.
