Adobe Photoshop 7.0 advice needed.

Hi,
I have been given a series of commands that help rectify the colours of an underwater photo. It is quite a laborious task, 40 clicks and three keyboard functions.
Apparently, the whole thing is already in Adobe under actions, underwater, but I can't seem to get that to come up.
Does anyone know if I can put all the functions into some sort of memory within Adobe so that it will perform them all in one go? Like a "custom action?" Or am I just being daft. Life ain't that easy sort of thing.
TIA

Paul

Yep! Easy peasy! Not 100% sure on Photoshop 7 but I assume it's the same as the later versions? You can record an 'action'.

If you go to the action menu window, Click the 'create new action' button, then record...

Go through all your steps and then 'stop' recording and it's then there for you you use to your heart's content!

Or you can try using another person's action and save it in your own actions folder.

Link here with link to action and instructions on how to add it...

Hope that helps,

Si

If you get it sorted can you post again and let me know please. I have managed to record actions in photoshop but only until I close the program, once I re-open it, it's gone

Thanks Si,
As you said, easy peasy. PM me next time you are going to Stony and I'll buy you a pint or two.
All I can say to Wannabemermaid is I just followed Si's comments, did what I had to do and it worked. I did allocate an f key, don't know if that helped but after shutting down and re-opening, the action was still in the pallette.

Why bother doing the keystrokes yourself when somebody has been kind enough to so do all the work already?

You can download and install said action here

p.s. the download is at the bottom of the page.

By downloading the action you've automically got the steps which are detailed in the bit of that link that says "the process is as follows.... "
