On the other hand, I don't like the sound quality. But it IS better that the shite pictures that come with Freeview. |

| The DAB network was originally designed for outdoorcoverage. There's lots of additional sites going in and power upgrades to make the coverage designed for indoor coverage, at least on the BBC DAB networks. There's also a new national commercial licence N2, which will be on air this summer , being awarded so I think your prognosis that digital Radio is dead is a long way short of the truth!

| DAB isnt ever going to take off really. Analogue is so much simpler and reliable. We have 1 DAB MUX here- 4 stations. No BBC or anything else and cant see that changing any time soon. Digital TV wont arrive until 2011 though.

| I don't understand why my DAB radio (virgin) is about half a second or so behind the analogue in my son's room. Is the Digital radio stuff then not going to take over the way digital telly is? I understood any anyone with analogue after the swtich over would be erm stuffed, basically. I know the one coming up is TV, but surely radio must follow sooner or later.

| Probably all depends where you are. My freeview reception is still rubbish, but DAB is absolutely amazing. Really, really impressive sound quality and tens of stations (I only really listen to R1,2&4 though...). Must get round to going up on the roof and having a poke at the aerial... |

| Well, I'm still not convinced, I've had my DAB for ages and it doesn't work well outside, how long are they going to take before they get it right, sounds like it'll be forced on us as it is with the telly. Progress, humphhh. Which reminds me - If Pro is the opposite to con, what's the opposite to Progress?
