Question Removing Orange from my mobile

The story so far is that I have successfully moved my mobile contract from Orange to Virgin. (Very happy with Orange but it made sense to have the Virgin deal same as wife and daughter)Finally managed to access my voicemails through Virgin, all working fine.
I have a LG Chocolate mobile originally purchased through Orange. When the phone boots up I still get the Orange logo appearing on screen. This then disappears. This is not the wallpaper. Having talked to the helpful techies at Virgin they reckon this is programmed in at level 5, whatever that means, and they cannot assist.

Does anyone know what I can do to remove this Orange logo. Ideally at very limited cost. It is a minor issue and I can easily live without it.
