Skype users please help

I have just installed Skype...It works ..However I thought it would be a case of just looking in your address book ..click the name and hey presto ...NO that seems too easy..I tried it and the number does'nt exist...I have to use the telephone key box..lookslike a calculator as it has the country code feature ....please tell that there is an easy way to just click on your contact and click the green phone icon and the call goes through

You can call other 'Skype' users by looking them up in the Skype online address book 'contacts' > 'search for contacts' and then ask them to link with you. They are sent a notification which they can either accept or reject depending on whether or not they want to be linked with you. Then whenever you launch Skype you will have list of contacts and whether or not they are online and whether or not they are available to talk.

Alternatively you can purchase credit and call any landline or mobile number in the world. Cheaper than normal dialling but with variable quality.
