Question Outlook Express Help

When I close down an email that I've just read in Outlook, it automatically opens the email below it in the "Inbox". I want to turn this off.

If I remember rightly there used to be a check box where you could "return to the inbox after closing message". But on the Outlook Express I'm using it's not there. Any ideas if I can do this and if so, how?

I think I'm on Office 2006.

I've trawled through all tabs in options and can't find it. Even tried the help tool (RTFM) but still nothing. Is it not available on my version of Outlook Express?

Thanks for any help you can give.
