Another vote for firefox here especially with some of the mouse gesture extensions etc.

It'll import bookmarks and so on from IE - you dont need to uninstall as both will live happily.

While we're talking Mozilla - consider using Thunderbird for mail instead of Outlook Express

Opera Browser beats IE and firefox for me.

Oh and there's a mobile version which works on most mobiles for wap browsing.

Both are free.

I think it used to be, but I've been on it for a couple of years for free HERE

It does download management, torents, rss, email, speeddial oh and you can look at internet sites too

They changed it then. I used Opera for years (until around v7) and it wasn't free then.
Since then though i switched to FF and seen no real reason to change back give it works for what i want. Seem to recall it was a perfectly good browser and the first to introduce mouse gestures which i now cant live without (and use via a FF extension).
