| It appears to be possible: Copying sky+ recordings to AV700 - Sky+ - Digital Spy Forums or maybe it isn't: sky+ to pc - Sky+ - Digital Spy Forums depending on your box: Recording to a PC - Sky+ - Digital Spy Forums If it's USB, I'd be tempted to fire up the laptop and just explore to see if there is anything visible, like a drive. If there are AVI files on there, copy one and see whether it plays. Digitalspy is the place to look for details of any software or hardware you might need. [edit] ahhh ... appears that the USB port is non-operational: Update on Useless USB Port - Sky+ - Digital Spy Forums

| eBay Sadly TiVos are no longer available in the UK, mainly due to domination of the PVR market by the vastly inferior Sky+. Hacking is a piece of piss thanks to sites like TiVoCommunity. Mine has two 120GB drives (about to upgrade to 2x250GB Samsungs) and a CacheCard network card. I've also added useful stuff such as EndPad. If you buy one, make sure it has a lifetime sub at the very least. The other stuff such as bigger disks and beefier PSUs are easy to add yourself. |

| Can you get Sky with a tivo ? Sorry but haven't got a clue about these !

| Well, I get Sky via my Sky receiver I'm planning on getting HD soon (recommendations appreciated please) and the TiVo won't record HD, so Hi Def will have to be recorded on the Sky HD box, but I'll be keeping the TiVo for the other stuff. |

| Well, I've just upgraded the TiVo with 2 new 250GB drives giving me 175 hours of recording time at 'Best' quality and 613 hours at 'Basic' I've also set up port-forwarding so I can access it from any web browser and even managed to set it to record 'A Grand Day Out' yesterday afternoon via my mobile phone. How cool (geeky) is that? Seriously, if you time-shift your TV watching; TiVos are the best things on the planet. |
