Unhappy Outlook Express help needed.
Hi,

When I receive an e-mail with any form of link in it, it don't work.
Whether it be "click here" or a mail address, nothing happens.
Have I got a box somewhere that needs ticking, or unticking?
Or could it be the AVG anti-whatever that is blocking things.

Yes there is a box in Tools\Options related to security settings which prevents you from accessing or downloading potentially malicous content. Don't ask me exactly whicj tick box it is though.

It could be but 3rd party blockers usually produce an annoying dialog when they get in the way.

On the Tools:Options:Read page do you have "Read all messages in plain text" option ticked?
If so, untick it :-)

How about Tools, Options, Security

Untick:
Do not allow attachments to be opened that could potentially be a virus
Block images and all other external content in html email

And make sure you are set for Internet zone (less secure but more functional)

OK I have done all that. I just need to wait for a link to come through, and hope I don't get a virus instead!
