Hand operated box strapping tools.
I just wondered if anyone could recommend a hand operated portable widget for putting strapping around cardboard boxes. The stuff is a real PITA when you take it off but it really helps keeps cartons together whilst in transit.

We have been looking at Cyclop's products but I would like to find something cheaper, if poss - start at £876

Also, anyone know of any 'non plastic based' strapping?

Have you tried basic plastic buckles?

I use these all the time for some pretty hefty strapping and works very well.
You can even undoe and use them and the strapping again. No machine,
just consumbles.

We use steel banding here. It's brilliant. It's really old kit, though.

I like old kit and tools but we are selling to retail shops who might 'run to a pair of scissors' but not metal cutters?
